Hand Hygiene\n\nProper hand hygiene is the single most important way to prevent the spread of infection.\n\n## When to Wash Hands\n- Before touching a resident\n- Before performing a clean/aseptic procedure\n- After body fluid exposure risk\n- After touching a resident\n- After touching resident surroundings\n\n## Steps\n1. Wet hands with water.\n2. Apply soap.\n3. Rub hands together for at least 20 seconds.\n4. Rinse hands.\n5. Dry hands with paper towel.\n6. Use towel to turn off faucet.
